Fundraising at OPES

Each year, the OPES PTO partners with our administration to fund important school initiatives and programs that directly enrich the lives of our students.

How It’s Done

Teachers, families, and local businesses come together to support our school through:

  • Spirit Events

  • Online Donations

  • Box Tops for Education (scan your receipts with the Box Tops app)

  • Harris Teeter Together in Education (link your VIC card each August — OPES code: 4654)

  • Amazon Smile (shop at smile.amazon.com and select Orchard Park Elementary PTO)

  • School Kidz Supply Kits (OPES receives 10% of all sales)

  • Corporate Matching Donations (see details below)

Main Fundraiser

Our biggest fundraiser of the year is the Boosterthon Fun Run. We do not participate in fundraisers requiring door-to-door sales. Instead, Boosterthon allows us to engage students in fitness, character, and school pride while raising money in a fun and safe way.

Where the Money Goes

Funds raised through PTO initiatives and the Boosterthon have provided:

  • New playground equipment & shade structures

  • Outdoor picnic areas

  • Chromebooks & STEM initiatives

  • IXL online learning program

  • School murals and campus beautification projects

  • Office supplies for school-wide use

  • Classroom supplies and funds for every teacher

Each year, the PTO works with school administrators to identify areas of need that aren’t covered in the annual school budget. Thanks to your support, we’re able to fill those gaps and provide resources that benefit every student.

Corporate Matching Donations

Many companies will match donations made to our PTO. If your company participates in corporate matching, please remember to submit your donation!

The OPES PTO is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
